Kingswood Oxford girls’ ice hockey has a long history of excellence, dating back to the beginning days of prep school girls’ hockey. Former players have gone on to compete at Division I programs such as Boston College, Dartmouth, Harvard, Providence, St. Lawrence, UMass- Boston and Yale, as well as Division III powerhouse programs such as Middlebury and Norwich University.
Competing in the Founders League against tough competition, KO earned a 4thseed in the New England Division II playoffs in 2011-12 in Coach Wiggenhauser’s first season with the team. Throughout a busy season of 22+ games and a holiday tournament, the focus remains on developing skills, understanding the game and systems, and playing as a team. Having both played collegiate hockey, Coach Wiggenhauser and Coach Weeks are dedicated to helping each player improve and to preparing many for the challenges to come at the collegiate level. For more information on the program, please contact Kathleen Wiggenhauser.
